BELLE TERRE

Belle Terre (A Beautiful Land) is a developing vision located on 43 acres just outside of Fayetteville, TN. Known by many for its peace and tranquility, it provides a haven for those in need. Because of the vision of Curtis and Paula Silcox, Belle Terre encompasses several different phases to help meet the different needs. It has truly become “A healing place for a hurting world”.

Missionary Cabins - The Margaret Gaines Cabin and The Hubert Mendoza Cabin were built for missionaries who are home on furlough to have a place to live and to base out of. Most missionaries sell everything they have to go to the mission field. When they come home to rest and raise more funds, they usually have to stay with relatives or pay for housing elsewhere. These cabins provide the answer to that dilemma. Missionaries can stay in the cabins, free of charge, where there are warm beds and food is provided, and they can concentrate on recuperating and casting their vision to churches and groups that may support them when they return to the mission field. When not in use by missionaries, these cabins are also available for ministers. Curtis always recalled the times when he needed to get away as a minister. He said when those times came, there was usually no financial means to go anywhere. These cabins are an answer to that dilemma also. If a minister needs to recover, rest, pray or find healing, he or she can do so here at Belle Terre. There are no TVs, no phones and no charge; just quite time to listen for the voice of God.

Providence Home – Is a children’s home for abused and abandoned children. Opened in June 2006, the home has the capacity for 13 children, now housing 6 total (3 birth and 3 foster). The home is awaiting more referrals. If you know of a child in need, please contact Providence Home.

Silcox Chapel - The James Hampton and Lora Mae Silcox Chapel is currently under construction. It is nestled on Belle Terre, creating a true village setting near the cabins. It is being built to reflect a turn of the century chapel, with a rustic and nostalgic charm. This facility will be available as a natural extension of GNT, for the purpose of prayer and small group gatherings. Everyone needs a place to pray. Everyone needs to be able to get alone with God and seek His face. Our prayer is that this chapel will be the catalyst for intimate times with the Father, to seek His will and have revelation from His throne; a place to find your deliverance, healing, breakthrough and restoration.

GNT Offices - The GNT offices at Belle Terre were renovated in 1998, to include an apartment for staff, and 2 storage facilities.
